  3. Digital X-Ray performed, stored, and sent for reading on location.

About Digital X-Ray:

Most hospitals now have digital x-ray systems.  These units have been available for mobile use for several years.

A special "plate" is used in the x-ray cassettes instead of film.  When the x-ray is taken, the "plate" stores the information in tiny pixel units and then is released as an image after digital processing.  The image is stored on a computer and sent to the radiologist for a reading.

Some Advantages of Digital X-Ray:

  1. No hazardous chemicals
  2. Less patient radiation
  3. Fast digital storage and image retrieval
  4. Multi-image manipulations for precise interpretation
  5. High quality images.

Doctors and Nurses now have the option of viewing x-ray images and reports thorugh our secure PACS server network.

Authorized users have access to this information 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
